Maybe some nice guys find their way to finishing first, but we all know people love the bad boy who breaks the rules. David Carson is that person and that's why we all love him.
If you don't already know David Carson is a famous graphic designer of the 21st century made popular for his radical designs inspired by his beach culture, free thinking, and lack of formal design training. He has inspired artist around the world and largely contributed to the "grunge typography' trends.
After learning a little more about Carson, I felt really inspired that he believes the best work is driven from emotion. From a man that did so much commercial work it is nice to know he still remains true to the value of art as a display of expression.
As a designer of any kind you are always looking to be different, to be the best, to be noticed. how do you achieve all of that??? Some people go to school. Some people experiment. Some people follow the rules, and some people like Carson break um.
